Lil Wayne Arrested: latest news about, Lil Wayne Arrested, The US Border Patrol found small traces of marijuana on a couple of rapper Lil’ Wayne’s tour buses (cannibuses?) near the Texas town of Falfurrias and the hip hop (hemp hop?) star is currently being detained.

Details are sketchy at this point, but according ’ Wayne’s entourage were part of a random search by Border Patrol agents that resulted in pot being found on two of the vehicles. It seems pot was not found on any of the persons, and contrary to the misleading headline of this post, no arrests have been made. Lil’ Wayne ‘n’ company are currently being detained at an undisclosed Border Patrol checkpoint. Lil’ Wayne was scheduled to perform tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center at 7:30. No word yet if that show has been canceled.

UPDATE: According to Pro8News.com: “The Laredo Entertainment Center is saying tonight’s concert is ‘postponed until further notice.’” Pro 8 also reports that more than a pound and a half of marijuana was found in a number of baggies. Though I don’t have any sources to confirm it, I can pretty much guarantee one thing – anything having to do with marijuana in the state of Texas eventually leads to one man: Willie Nelson, or as he is known in the hip hop community, “Wil’ Nelson.” If that turns out to be the case then Lil’ Wayne will be covered under Willie’s blanket Presidential pot pardon signed into effect by Jimmy Carter and renewed by Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, which means he will get to walk away scott free. The pot will be confiscated and distributed by Willie among his numerous charities.

If Lil’ Wayne’s possession of Mary Jane has nothing to do with Willie Nelson then according to Texas state law he will be put to death.
