Meeting of the National Conference Today

ISLAMABAD,Pakistan: A two-day meeting of the National Finance Commission (NFC) will be held in Karachi from Wednesday with Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin in the chair.

All the chief ministers along with their respective finance ministers will attend the meeting besides private members from the provinces including Mirza Abdul Ghafoor from Punjab, Qaisar Bangali from Sindh, Haji Adeel from NWFP and Dr Gulfraz from Balochistan.

NWFP team has reached Karachi to attend the two-day meeting of the National Finance Commission (NFC) Tuesday after the province received the Rs10 billion first instalment of the net hydel-power dues.

NWFP Finance Minister Humayun Khan before his departure to Karachi told media that the provincial government had received the release order of the Rs10 billion early in the morning after which the provincial team decided to attend the NFC meeting.
