Troops Enter Gorgari in Khyber AgencyPESHAWAR, Pakistan News Update: Security forces started operation against militants in different parts of Khyber Agency.

According to FC sources, security forces taking positions against militants in Gorgari in tehsil Bara and Chora Valley in tehsil Landi Kotal of Khyber Agency. Forces are using heavy artillery and armed vehicles against militants. FC sources told Geo News that fresh operation is a result of government’s policy to clear these areas from militants. The sources said local tribes welcomed security forces action.

Four Terrorists Killed in Fresh Offensive SouthWaziristanWANA: At least four extremists were killed and nine others injured in fresh army offensive in parts of South Waziristan Agency (SWA) early on Sunday morning.

The security forces’ operation Rah-e-Nijat against militants in SWA is underway.

According to sources, insurgents resorted to automatic weapons and rocket launchers to carry out onslaught on security forces’ troops in parts of agency including Garam, Laddah and Makeen areas and as a result, at least four insurgents perished and nine others sustained injuries in retaliatory action from forces.

Moreover in Hangu, security forces took control on Sahokhel area and clamped curfew for an indefinite period over there, sources said.

At least 200 civilian families migrated from Sahokhel due to militants’ presence in the area meanwhile, insurgents had bombed more than 300 houses, educational institutions and health centers existed in the area during last three weeks since their domination over the region, sources added.

SEOUL: There has been a clash between ships from the rival navies of North and South Korea.Korean Naval Ships Clash

The agency says that a South Korean warship fired a shot at a North Korean vessel which crossed the demarcation line off their western coast.

The North Korean ship returned fire, but no injuries are reported so far.

The two navies have engaged in deadly exchanges twice along their western sea border in the past decade.

In October, North Korea’s navy accused South Korea of sending warships across their maritime border to stir tensions, and warned that further incursions could spark retaliations.

Moreover, the huge cache of arms and ammunition recovered from the hideouts of the militants during search operation in Shakai, Kanigram and other adjacent areas.

The extremists are constantly running from North Waziristan SWA (NWA), Kurram, Orakzai Agency and Hangu. The curfew is held in Razmak, Dosli Gariyoum and the third day to stem the influx of extremists.

SW Operation Progress 8 Militants KilledWANA: At least eight extremists have been killed and 11 others injured in the fresh crackdown of the security forces in various area of South Waziristan Agency.

The extremists are fleeing from the areas after the security forces entered the stronghold of extremists. The extremists are believed to be arriving in Orakzai Agency, Kurram Agency and North Waziristan.

To stem the inflow of extremist in the area, curfew has been clamped in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) area of Razmak.

According to sources, the security forces continued the search operation in South Waziristan Agency areas of Makin and Ladha, where eight extremists were killed and 11 others including a commander were injured in the fresh action.

The forces are pounding the hideouts of extremists with fighter jets, gunship helicopters and heavy artillery.

Meantime, search operation has been started in Kurram Agency area of Lower Kurram, where an extremist was killed and three others were injured; while, several others have been arrested.

Pak-Afghan border is still closed today on the third consecutive day.

WANA: Eleven more militants were killed and 14 injured during operation Rah-e- Nijat underway in different areas of South Waziristan.

According to sources, clashes continued between security forces and militants in Makeen, Daray Sarak, Ladha, Garday Cheray, Sararogha and Ahmedabad whereas forces also destroyed four hideouts of militants in the action.

More then 400 militants have been killed and 50 hideouts destroyed in the operation launched on October 16. The clashes speed up after penetration of forces contingents in Makeen, Ladha and other strongholds of militants as they are fleeing towards North Waziristan, Kurram Agency and Orakzai Agency.

At least seven militants were killed and four wounded in renewed fighting here, the sources maintained.

Hundreds of militants have sought refuge in different parts of Kurram Agency, Orakzai Agency and South Waziristan since yesterday after the entry of troops from the security forces in Laddah, a stronghold of militants, “the sources added.

The road tunnel linking the Kurram and South Waziristan agencies has been locked to prevent militant safehouse in adjacent areas, the sources said.
