12 Militants Killed in Clashes in Swat, 3 Bodies Found

SWAT news updates: Twelve militants were killed and three bodies found from different areas in Swat. Security forces arrested more then 150 suspected persons during search operation.

According to Swat media center, forces on a tip-off given by arrested militant commander Muhammad Nasim alias Abu Faraj raided a house in Koza Bandai in tehsil Kabal. Ten militants including Abu Faraj and key commander Zahid Khan were killed whereas a security man wounded in the clashes.

Another militant commander Alamgir and his father were killed during clashes between security forces and militants in Barthana in tehsil Matta.

On the other hand, two bodies were found in Babu area of Swat’s Khawazakhela tehsil whereas a lone body was recovered in Peochar area in Matta.

Security forces arrested more then 150 suspected persons during search operation in Mingora whereas search operation is underway in Derai area of tehsil Kabal.

3 Militants Killed In Swaziristan Rah-e-Nijat Operation

WANA, News Update: Three militants were killed and eight others injured in ongoing operation Rah –e- Nijat in South Waziristan.

The clashes occurred between militants and security forces in Asman Manza, Makeen and Ladha areas, said sources. Three militants were killed and eight others wounded during these clashes. Security forces took control of more then 100 hideouts of militants whereas huge arms cache and explosives were also recovered and at least 600 militants have been killed so far during operation started on October 17.

3 Militants Killed in SouthWaziristan Clashes

WANA: Three militants were killed and seven injured during clashes between security forces and militants as operation Rah-e-Nijat continued in South Waziristan.

Sources said three militants were killed and seven others wounded during clashes between militants and security forces in Maidan area of Ladha. A security man sustained injuries when militants attacked forces with automatic weapons in Asmaan Manza. More then 500 militants have been killed and scores injured so far in the operation. The forces also destroyed several hideouts and took control of key strongholds of militants.

Hangu: 14 Militants Killed In Clashes With Security Forces

HANGU: Militants attacked on security check-posts in Hangu meanwhile, 14 persons were killed and many others wounded in security forces’ retaliatory firing.
According to sources, militants launched attack on security forces’ check-posts located in Tora Dari area late Sunday night, which security forces retaliated killing at least 14 militants and injuring many others, meanwhile in process, one security men martyred and four other sustained injuries.

Both side used heavy artillery in skirmish.

Meanwhile, after clashes security forces heavily shelled the suspected hideouts of extremists destroying tow of them.
