Potential new evidence has to come to light which appears to detail the moment paramedics broke the news of Michael Jackson’’s death.

A tape recording, which has emerged online, is believed to feature a Los Angeles Fire Department medical worker calling the UCLA hospital, reports the Sun.

A voice on the tape says: “Patient is Michael Jackson, the pop star singer. No pulse, no breathing. Unresponsive. Tried to resuscitate him. Unsuccessful.

“We”ve done everything we can. We should be there in five minutes. It doesn”t look good. It doesn”t look good”.

The tape emerged on an ambulance workers” web forum but has yet to be confirmed as genuine.

An LAFD spokesman said of the recording: “I couldn”t confirm that is one of our workers. It could be. They refer to ”pop star Michael Jackson” but it is not our practice to name names.”

If genuine, the tape could be used in Dr Conrad Murray’’s involuntary manslaughter trial later this year as it contradicts his claims the star was still warm and had a pulse when he found Jackson and put him in the ambulance.

The judge in the court ruled that Joe Jackson is entitled to view the medical records.

However, he has access to only those records made at UCLA Medical Center on the day his son died.

Joe had requested the court to let him see the medical records, so that he could determine if anyone was to blame for the ”Thriller” hitmaker’’s death.

The administrators of Jackson’’s estate had initially lodged an objection with the court, reports Contactmusic.

They had claimed Joe was not entitled to the papers because he was not a dependent of his son.

Michael Jackson will be part of a new video for the revamped version of ‘We Are The World’, Lionel Richie has revealed.

In the video, which will make its debut in the US during coverage of the Winter Olympics” opening ceremony, the late King of Pop can be seen singing with his sister Janet.

“We left the original footage of that part, but now he is singing with his sister,” the Mirror quoted Lionel, who wrote the original charity anthem, as saying.

Quincy Jones, who produced the original track and helped orchestrate the re-recording, added: “It’’s something we wanted to see, but his mother requested it too, for Janet to sing with Michael. It was perfect. It was meant to be.”

Proceeds from sales of the song, which features 80 artists, including Pink, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Kanye West and Jennifer Hudson, will benefit earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti.

Michael Jackson’’s personal doctor Conrad Murray is reportedly set to appear in court over the singer’s death.

The medic, who was said to be facing involuntary manslaughter charges, will be arraigned at a court near Los Angeles International Airport, according to a source.

A lawyer for Murray, who has repeatedly denied any wrong doing, said the physician will turn himself in if charged.

“We are prepared for whatever occurs. We have time to meet and strategise for possible scenarios, but in reality we”ve had eight months to do that,” the Mirror quoted attorney Ed Chernoff as saying.

Murray has been at the centre of the investigation probing the singer’s death on June 25 last year after he confessed administering the powerful sedative propofol to Jackson hours before his death.

The Los Angeles County coroner ruled Jackson’s death as a homicide, concluding the King of Pop died from “acute propofol intoxication” combined with sedatives.

michal jackson1 300x286 MJ’s personal doc to surrender if charges filed Conrad Murray, the physician who’s at the centre of the Michael Jackson manslaughter probe, will surrender if charges are filed against him, reveals his rep.

Spokeswoman Miranda Sevcik denied reports that Dr Murray plans to surrender at a courthouse Wednesday morning.

“There has been no specific request from officials for his presence. The District Attorney might have a plan, but they aren”t telling us,” the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.

“But as we”ve said from the beginning, any time [law enforcement] want us at the courthouse, say the word and we”ll cooperate. He’’s always planned to surrender if asked.

“He is in Los Angeles to meet with his legal team, take care of some family business and continue to cooperate with law enforcement,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’’s Office and the Los Angeles Police Department have been working to build a case against Murray, but a well-placed source said no decision had been made.

“There’’s no decision from the DA’’s office,” said an LAPD source.

Asked if a charge could come this week, the source added, “It could, but it’’s up to the DA.”

The source said detectives would then decide whether to arrest Dr. Murray or ask him to surrender.

“We would discuss that after something is filed,” the source said.

LOS ANGELES, News Update: American Music Awards featured memorable performances by artistes like Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Black Eyed Peas. Michael Jackson and teen artist Taylor Swift were the big winners at the star-studded awards’ ceremony.
37th American Music Awards
‘King of Pop’ bagged four awards at the award ceremony last night but stopped short of beating Swift, who turned out to be the top winner by collecting five trophies, including Artist of the Year at the 37th American Music Awards. The late singer won in the Favorite Male Artist Soul/R&B and Favorite Male Artist Pop/Rock categories among his four wins, reports said. Jackson’s awards were accepted by brother Jermaine, who said that his brother’s message was just as important as his music.

“The message that Michael had will live on forever. He saw good in everyone and he wanted everyone to do good. He always started with love,” said Jermaine. However, the main highlight of the evening was a series of jaw-dropping performances from some of the biggest names in the business. During the three-hour live show at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Eminem, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Shakira, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Lopez, Green Day and Adam Lambert all took the stage. True to her reputation, Lady Gaga delivered an eye-popping performance on her new single Bad Romance. She matched a flesh-colored bodysuit with flashing white accessories that mimicked a rib cage. She then picked up her mic stand and smashed open a glass enclosure housing a piano. She climbed up, sat down and played Speechless while flames enveloped the wooden instrument. Whitney Houston was honored with the International Artist of the Year award, joining only six other winners such as Michael Jackson in the history of the AMAs. She also performed on I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.

American Idol star Adam Lambert closed the show with a provocative version of his single, For Your Entertainment. The awards were presented by Kristen Bell, Alex Rodriguez, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Kris Allen, Ne-Yo, Perez Hilton, Drake, Kid Cudi, Samuel L Jackson, Leona Lewis, Seth Greene and Ryan Seacrest. The Awards honor the year’s top-selling artists in eight popular genres. Singer Jennifer Lopez performed onstage.
