3 Militants Killed In Swaziristan Rah-e-Nijat OperationWANA, News Update: Three militants were killed and eight others injured in ongoing operation Rah –e- Nijat in South Waziristan.

The clashes occurred between militants and security forces in Asman Manza, Makeen and Ladha areas, said sources. Three militants were killed and eight others wounded during these clashes. Security forces took control of more then 100 hideouts of militants whereas huge arms cache and explosives were also recovered and at least 600 militants have been killed so far during operation started on October 17.

12 Militants Killed in the Last 24 Hours in Operation Rah-e-NijatWANA: Twelve terrorists have been killed and 5 soldiers including 2 officers were injured during operation Rah-e-Nijat in last 24 hours.

According to ISPR, security forces consolidating their position in Sararogha and surrounding areas. Four militants hidden a compound in Sararogha have been killed. In Ladha, huge arms cache has been recovered from different areas whereas a 30 ft tunnel formed by militants has been destroyed with the weapons in Tayarzara. The weapons were also recovered during search operation in Toparghai and Sagga areas.

On the other hand, militants attacked security forces check post in Landainar area. Two security men sustained injuries in the attack. The eastern part of Makeen has been cleared from Razmak Makeen.

According to spokesman, eight militants have been killed while trying to escape in Makeen. Three security officials including two officers injured in militants firing. Nine militants have been arrested from different areas of Swat during ongoing operation Rah-e-Raast.

WASHINGTON : US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that al Qaeda leaders are present in Pakistan. She urged Pakistan to take on al Qaeda more aggressively for a lasting solution to root out terrorism.

The US secretary of state said that there is a trust deficit between Pakistan and America as trust has to go both ways. She praised the ongoing operation in Waziristan but demanded to act more aggressively towards al Qaeda. Hillary Clinton said that al Qaeda is not only a big threat to America but also to Pakistan and urged Government, Army and Pakistani people to completely root them out.

WANA: Security forces have secured key area of Sherongai during ongoing operation Rah-e-Nijat against foreign militants in Shakai and Ladha areas.

General Officer Commanding Major General Khalid Rabbani in a media briefing said eight-two militants have been killed whereas six security men have been martyred and 43 wounded during the action. He said security forces have secured the Sherongai area from Uzbek militants. Large number of Chechen, Uzbek and Turkmenistan militants is still present in Shakai Ladha area. He expressed hope that Kanigaram area will be cleared soon.

WANA: Six more extremists have been killed and 11 others wounded in ongoing operation Rah-e-Nijat in Northern Waziristan Tuesday.

According to sources, security forces are advancing to extremists bases in Makeen and Ladha from the area of Razmak.

Gunship helicopters, jet planes and ground troops are taking part in the operation.

Extremists death tally has mounted to over 80 and more than 30 hideouts have been destroyed in the continuing operation for last four days, state sources added.

Meanwhile, security forces are facing severe resistance on part of the extremists in some areas.
