WANA, News Update: Three militants were killed and eight others injured in ongoing operation Rah –e- Nijat in South Waziristan.
The clashes occurred between militants and security forces in Asman Manza, Makeen and Ladha areas, said sources. Three militants were killed and eight others wounded during these clashes. Security forces took control of more then 100 hideouts of militants whereas huge arms cache and explosives were also recovered and at least 600 militants have been killed so far during operation started on October 17.
President Zardari, PM Gilani Discuss Operation Rah-e-Nijat

Islamabad, Pakistan News Update: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani called on President Asif Ali Zardari in the Presidency and discussed with him matters related to the operation Rah-e-Nijat in South Waziristan.
During the meeting matters relating to the prevailing political situation, IDPs, the measures taken by the government to address sugar problem and ‘Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan’ Package for Balochistan also came under discussion.
Briefing the media, Spokesman to the President, former Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the Prime Minister discussed with the President matters related to the operation Rah-e-Nijat.
The President and the Prime Minister also discussed the salient features of Balochistan Empowerment Package which will be unveiled in the joint sitting of the Parliament on Tuesday.
They also discussed the constitutional issues that are being thrashed out by the Constitutional Reforms Committee and will be placed soon in the Parliament.
12 Militants Killed in the Last 24 Hours in Operation Rah-e-Nijat

WANA: Twelve terrorists have been killed and 5 soldiers including 2 officers were injured during operation Rah-e-Nijat in last 24 hours.
According to ISPR, security forces consolidating their position in Sararogha and surrounding areas. Four militants hidden a compound in Sararogha have been killed. In Ladha, huge arms cache has been recovered from different areas whereas a 30 ft tunnel formed by militants has been destroyed with the weapons in Tayarzara. The weapons were also recovered during search operation in Toparghai and Sagga areas.
On the other hand, militants attacked security forces check post in Landainar area. Two security men sustained injuries in the attack. The eastern part of Makeen has been cleared from Razmak Makeen.
According to spokesman, eight militants have been killed while trying to escape in Makeen. Three security officials including two officers injured in militants firing. Nine militants have been arrested from different areas of Swat during ongoing operation Rah-e-Raast.
60 Militants Killed In Operation Rah-e-Nijat

WANA : At least 60 militants were killed and five soldiers were martyred in operation Rah-e-Nijat during last 24 hours.

The channel quoted the ISPR as saying that the bombardment of jet aircrafts was continue in Makeen, Ladha and other areas as a result 60 militants were killed.
The ISPR has also confirmed the martyrdom of five soldiers in the operation during last 24 hours.
Earlier, a foreign news agency had claimed that 20 militants have been killed and their several hideouts devastated in the military operation against the militants.
The sources had informed the channel that more that 5000 foreigners including Uzbek, Chechen and Arab are present in Waziristan, adding that they are receiving arms and financial assistance from Afghanistan. Operation in Waziristan would be like Swat operation, the sources added.
Meanwhile, the registration of the people, migrating from Mehsud area, have been initiated.
