Shilpa Shetty Copies Aishwarya On her Wedding Day

MUMBAI, News Update: Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty, who recently tied the knot with her NRI beau Raj Kundra, looked stunning in a red designer lehenga-saree on her wedding day. But, a look at her reminded one of Aishwarya Rai’s.
From the jewellery to the hairdo, Shilpa looked similar to Ash in all respects. While it was designer Neeta Lulla for Aishwarya on her D-Day, Shilpa Shetty zeroed in on her good friend Tarun Tahiliani. Ash adorned with Kundan jewellery had worn a golden saree on her wedding day. Shilpa too sported Kundan jewellery to go with her bright red saree. Similarities or no similarities, both the brides looked their best.

Mumbai News update: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty tied the nuptial knot with long-time beau Raj Kundra here on November 22 in a glittering wedding ceremony.

The occasion was attended by several Bollywood fraternities. The reception will be held in London.

Shilpa Shetty’s fiance wants to take his baraat to Shilpa’s home in a unique way, instead of riding a decked up horse ,he will arrive with the baratis in a chariot.

Shila-Raj have decided to tie the knot on November 22nd and Shilpa’s close buddy says, “Tarun Tahiliani has designed a wedding outfit that no bride in Bollywood or outside has ever worn before.”

“Shilpa’s mom consulted the astrological documents and found that the next auspicious date was not before April 2010. Shilpa’s first response was, ‘Not without my sister.’ But now that Shamita is well on the way out of Bigg Boss Shilpa doesn’t mind the rush, though she would be shooting until the very last moment for the Indo-Chinese production Desire in Hyderabad.”

Shilpa on her recently wrote on her blog, “To all those who want to know how I am feeling, I just want to say I’m going through a lot of mixed feelings – happiness, excitement, nervousness, just like any bride to be and sadness as well.”

Shilpa-Raj wedding will be a traditional Mangalorean event.

Shilpa Shetty to Get Married on November 22: Shilpa Shetty to Get Married on November 22, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her millionaire fiance Raj Kundra will get married in a private ceremony in Khandala near here on November 22.
Shilpa has confirmed her wedding date on her blog. The wedding venue will be Shilpa’s friend-cum-business partner Kiran Bawa’s bungalow. The sangeet and mehendi ceremonies prior to the wedding will also take place at the same venue, Shilpa’s spokesperson said here today.
The guest list will be restricted to family members and close friends of the couple. The marriage ceremonies will be a mix of Punjabi and South Indian rituals. The wedding will be followed by a reception here on November 24. Designer Tarun Tahiliani is designing the 34-year-old bride’s wedding costume.

The actress got engaged to Kundra late last month at his Juhu residence. Even though Kundra is an NRI settled in London, he has purchased a house in Juhu and the couple plan to live here after marriage.

No Katrina, Kareena in Dostana 2

Well contrary to the reports that Katrina Kaif will be a part of Dostana 2 opposite Abhishek and John, it’s not Katrina but Kareena who is approached for the flick.

A source says, “Ironically, Kareena had been dropped from the first Dostana because she couldn’t work with Abhishek. And now she’s back in Dostana 2. Never say never again, at least in Bollywood, where equations change every Friday.”

Director Tarun Mansukhani says, “We are almost done with the script. At the moment I’m neither confirming not denying Kareena’s presence.”

Dostana duo Abhi-John move from Miami to London in Dostana 2 and continue their gay act, where they meet Kareena.

November is the month of star-wedding, first Shilpa Shetty and now Eesha Kopikkar is also tying the knot with her restaurateur beau Timmy Narang on November 29.

Bride-to-be Eesha says, “I’m excited about the wedding.I have three films — Hello Darling, Right Ya Wrong and Shabari — coming back-to-back in 2010, but I decided to marry because both Timmy and I want this more than anything else.”

“I’m fortunate that Timmy is broadminded. He has no issues about me continuing with my acting assignments… and though he knows precious little about films, he is my support system.”

Eesha talking about love with Timmy says, of course, our love and mutual respect for one another made us want to seal our relationship with marriage. I also want to have kids and I decided to marry now because I want my kids to grow up and be friends with me when I can still enjoy raising a family.Both Timmy and I want a quiet but traditional wedding.”

Eesha and Timmy will be going to sun-kissed beaches of California for their honeymoon.
