WANA, News Update: Three militants were killed and eight others injured in ongoing operation Rah –e- Nijat in South Waziristan.
The clashes occurred between militants and security forces in Asman Manza, Makeen and Ladha areas, said sources. Three militants were killed and eight others wounded during these clashes. Security forces took control of more then 100 hideouts of militants whereas huge arms cache and explosives were also recovered and at least 600 militants have been killed so far during operation started on October 17.

WANA: Three militants were killed and seven injured during clashes between security forces and militants as operation Rah-e-Nijat continued in South Waziristan.
Sources said three militants were killed and seven others wounded during clashes between militants and security forces in Maidan area of Ladha. A security man sustained injuries when militants attacked forces with automatic weapons in Asmaan Manza. More then 500 militants have been killed and scores injured so far in the operation. The forces also destroyed several hideouts and took control of key strongholds of militants.
12 Militants Killed in the Last 24 Hours in Operation Rah-e-Nijat

WANA: Twelve terrorists have been killed and 5 soldiers including 2 officers were injured during operation Rah-e-Nijat in last 24 hours.
According to ISPR, security forces consolidating their position in Sararogha and surrounding areas. Four militants hidden a compound in Sararogha have been killed. In Ladha, huge arms cache has been recovered from different areas whereas a 30 ft tunnel formed by militants has been destroyed with the weapons in Tayarzara. The weapons were also recovered during search operation in Toparghai and Sagga areas.
On the other hand, militants attacked security forces check post in Landainar area. Two security men sustained injuries in the attack. The eastern part of Makeen has been cleared from Razmak Makeen.
According to spokesman, eight militants have been killed while trying to escape in Makeen. Three security officials including two officers injured in militants firing. Nine militants have been arrested from different areas of Swat during ongoing operation Rah-e-Raast.
11 Militants Killed, 14 Injured in S Waziristan

WANA: Eleven more militants were killed and 14 injured during operation Rah-e- Nijat underway in different areas of South Waziristan.

According to sources, clashes continued between security forces and militants in Makeen, Daray Sarak, Ladha, Garday Cheray, Sararogha and Ahmedabad whereas forces also destroyed four hideouts of militants in the action.
More then 400 militants have been killed and 50 hideouts destroyed in the operation launched on October 16. The clashes speed up after penetration of forces contingents in Makeen, Ladha and other strongholds of militants as they are fleeing towards North Waziristan, Kurram Agency and Orakzai Agency.
7 Dead, 4 Wounded in the Military Offensive in SWA

WANA: At least seven insurgents were killed and four others were injured during the ongoing military offensive in South Waziristan (SWA) in the morning on Thursday.
According to ISPR sources, the military-militant fierce skirmishes underway in Makeena, Ladha and SWA Aasman MINZA areas where security forces resorted to heavy bombardment, helicopter gunships and Air Force of Pakistan (FAP) ’s jet fighter against extremists.
At least seven militants were killed and four wounded in renewed fighting here, the sources maintained.
Hundreds of militants have sought refuge in different parts of Kurram Agency, Orakzai Agency and South Waziristan since yesterday after the entry of troops from the security forces in Laddah, a stronghold of militants, “the sources added.
The road tunnel linking the Kurram and South Waziristan agencies has been locked to prevent militant safehouse in adjacent areas, the sources said.

WANA: At least four persons were killed and four others injured in the attack of suspected US unmanned spy plane on Norok tehsil of Mir Ali in South Waziristan Agency (SWA) late on Wednesday night.

According to sources, the identity of injured and killed persons has yet to be ascertained but wounded men have been rushed to hospital for medical attainment.
Drone’s flights over the area are still underway, triggering panic among public, witnesses said.
Curfew Clamped in SWA From Sunday

WANA: The orders to impose curfew, for an indefinite period, have been issued in several parts of South Waziristan Agency (SWA) in connection with ongoing military operation from Sunday and onwards, political administration said.

According to sources, the curfew will remain clamped from 8am in morning to late night from tomorrow and onwards till further orders.
The civilians have been advised to remain confined within homes, limiting their outdoor movements while the curfew will be in effect in order to avoid any kind of mishap, sources added.

WANA, Pakistan: 10 Militants killed in S Waziristan Fighting, At least 10 militants were killed and seven wounded in the ongoing security operation in the tribal region of South Waziristan.

WANA: At least seven militants were killed and five injured during ongoing military operation against Taliban in South Waziristan Agency (SWA) on right after Thursday morning.

According to sources, reports regarding deadly clashes between security forces and militants reached here early on morning in parts of SWA including Sherongi, Laddha Road, Momi Karam, Kot Kai and Sararogha areas, which resulted in deaths of seven militants, leaving five others injured.
Meanwhile, security forces troops are advancing towards militants’ key strongholds in region, sources added.
19 Militants Killed in Attack on Security Forces

WANA: Nineteen militants were killed and 10 wounded in security forces offensive against militants in South Waziristan.

According to sources, fighter jets and gunship helicopters targeted militants’ hideouts in Kanigroon, Sam and Larma areas killing 13 militants and injuring eight. Six militants killed and two wounded in Khanigamal area. Forces faced stiff resistance in these areas.
Meanwhile, security forces started establishing check posts in Sherongi, Khesor and Zoynarai.
On the other hand, forces closed North Waziristan and Bannu Road in Bakkakhel area. The migration is on from affected areas and local residents are moving towards safer places.
