The match was pretty boring in my opinion, up until Mark Henry and The Big Show got involved, prior to this MVP had seen some success and almost pinned The Miz, The Miz responded well landing a DDT which also almost ended the fight.
Soon after Mark Henry and The Big Show had a bit of a scuffle, this resulted in The Big Show throwing Henry through the barricade and then Show set his sights on MVP.
Show hit MVP with ‘The Punch of Doom’, The Miz then capitalized on this and won the match via pinfall.

Eduardo Gory “Eddie” Guerrero (October 9, 1967 – November 13, 2005) was a Mexican-American professional wrestler born into the Guerrero wrestling family. Guerrero wrestled in Mexico and Japan and in several major professional wrestling promotions in the United States He wrestled in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Guerrero’s gimmick was that of a crafty, resourceful wrestler who would do anything to win a match. His catch phrase became “Cheat to Win.” Despite being a villain for most of his career, he got over in and outside the ring. Another one of Guerrero’s famous slogans was “I Lie! I Cheat! I Steal!,” which was used in one of his entrance themes. Guerrero partly used this phrase in his autobiography Cheating Death, Stealing Life.
Throughout his career, Guerrero encountered various substance abuse problems outside of wrestling, including alcoholism and an addiction to painkillers. His problems outside of the ring were sometimes integrated into his angles. Notwithstanding these issues, he won numerous titles during his career, including the WWE Championship. He was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.
Guerrero came from a wrestling family. His father, Gory Guerrero[2] was a wrestler in Mexico, a prominent wrestling trainer and an influential figure in Mexican professional wrestling. His mother is Herlinda Yañez, sister of professional wrestlers Enrique, Mario, and Sergio Yañez. His three brothers Chavo Guerrero, Sr., Hector Guerrero, and Mando Guerrero all followed in their father’s footsteps and became professional wrestlers.
Guerrero’s nephew, Chavo Guerrero, Jr. also became a wrestler, while his uncle Enrique Llanes (Yañez) and cousin Javier Llanes (Yañez) wrestled in Mexico.
As a boy, Guerrero’s father allowed him and Chavo Jr. to wrestle one another during intermissions in the wrestling promotions that Gory held. Gory held wrestling promotions for nearly 15 years in the El Paso Coliseum.
Guerrero was born in and raised in El Paso, Texas and attended the University of New Mexico as well as New Mexico Highlands University on an athletic scholarship, where he wrestled collegiality, before returning to El Paso to train as a professional wrestler.

Mayweather Vs Marquez Fight Free, Watch Mayweather vs Marquez Live Online Free Stream, Fight Card and Results Video via HBO PPV.Mayweather Vs Marquez Fight Free
Watch Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez live streaming online video which will be available via Pay-Per-View through 24/7 PPV. I know everyone is excited to witness the much awaited Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez boxing fight event.
This is the biggest boxing event of the month, entitled “Numero Uno-Number One”, which will be held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 19, 2009 at exactly 9:00 pm ET (6:00 pm PT).
After a 2-year hiatus, finally, on September 19, 2009, Floyd Mayweather Jr. will return to the boxing ring. And this time, he will be facing lightweight champion “El Dinamita” Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. A lot of critics are saying that this is a mismatch in terms of size.
And also… let’s look at it this way, Marquez has only gone up to the lightweight division just recently, right? But Mayweather, on the other hand, has been fighting in the welterweight division for years. Isn’t this a bit unfair on the side of Marquez? Lightweight is two divisions down from welterweight, and Marquez certainly looks vulnerable compared to Mayweather.

“I am sorry 2 say that on this day at 2:05 Sept 19th we lost another incredible life…Dj Roc Raida died 2day my personal Dj is gone…” -Busta Rhymes
“I feel fortunate to have been able to catch this great man on the tables many times. He is one of a select few who defined the term ‘turntablism’” – Black Bubblegum
he passed today. Was a NYC staple for countless years. He’ll be seriously missed. Was a very good guy and always put together great events throughout the city. [Thanksgiving Brown]
Literally one of the single greatest trick DJs of all time, Roc Raida of the legendary X-ecutioners, has passed away. Last week it was being reported that Roc was “admited to the hospital after being involved in a car accident that left him with serious injuries”, but today AllHipHop says,
..a representative for the DJ, [said] “Family and friends will miss him dearly. Please give the family their privacy.”
The source refused to give details of his illness or injury, or even the cause of Roc Raida’s death, but did state that previous reports of an injury during karate class or a car accident were inaccurate.
The rep confirmed that Roc Raida was hospitalized last week, but would only state that the DJ’s death was totally “unexpected.”
That was quickly followed by an article at Baller Status that says something slightly different:
“Raida was recently in an mixed martial arts accident, something that he has been practicing for several years,” a statement from his family read. “Although he had under gone two surgeries with great success, he was released to an inpatient physical therapy facility and was in great spirits the past few days. This morning he started to have complications and passed. The family asks for privacy at this time.”
Condolences to his family. Roc Raida RIP.
One of his recent NYC performances took place July 23rd in Crotona Park in the Bronx. In August he toured Canada with Busta Rhymes. Video from the show they played at the Metropolis in Montreal, and more, below…
Rich Franklin vs. Vitor Belfort: UFC 103 Results

We talked yesterday about how yesterdays UFC 103 fight was a return fight for Vitor Belfort, who faced Rich Franklin. It was a great return fight for Belfort and the results speak for themselves, as the return fighter registered a technical knockout over Rich Franklin.
Belfort was just 3:02 into the first round when was announced the winner of the headline bout. The crowd was certainly up for this UFC 103 bout, as there was a sold-out crowd at the American Airlines Center. Not sure if the fans were happy with such a quick fight though.
USA Today said that it was great to see the old Vitor return after a four-year break from fighting in the UFC. Franklin was not happy to see the return of Vitor though; Franklin’s knees became buckled following a huge left hand. Vitor then jump on Franklin and gave him three powerful punches to the back of his opponent’s head, it was then when the referee had to step in and stop the fight.
Let us know if you were happy with the results of the fight.

Mosley ruins Mayweather’s win over Marquez
September 20, 2009 by lee
LAS VEGAS – As it ended, with Shane Mosley in the ring seizing an unwarranted opportunity to provoke Floyd Mayweather, HBO’s $50 pay-per-view felt like WWE’s “Monday Night Raw.” If only Mosley could’ve conducted himself with the class of Pretty Boy’s valet, Triple H.
“Tonight is not Mosley’s night,” Mayweather said later. “I don’t get in the ring and grab the mic and take away another fighter’s shine.”
For once, Mayweather’s resentment was well-founded, as the inauguration of Mosley’s clumsy campaign for a payday obscured a brilliant performance. At 146 pounds, Mayweather only did what he was widely forecast to do, of course. He beat a game, though smaller man in Juan Manuel Marquez. (To harp on the weight disparity now seems willfully ignorant of all the praise Mayweather received for coming back against such a tough and formidable opponent). Some might even take exception with his failure to knock Marquez out. But these arguments miss the larger points.
First, Mayweather dispatched with the issue of his 21-month layoff. Turns out, it didn’t matter. Second, he re-established himself as the most elusive fighter since Pernell Whitaker. Sure, people want to see a knockout. Still, according to CompuBox, Juan Manuel Marquez managed to land just 69 punches through 12 rounds.
That, too, was something to behold. In fact, to see what Mayweather can do up close is to witness a craft that borders on art, a talent that shows better from ringside than on the small screen.
As for that pound-for-pound title, well, that’s still up for debate. And it’s not a bad thing, either.
Mayweather or Pacquiao? The argument may be settled Nov. 14, when Pacquiao fights Miguel Cotto. Or maybe not. The common opponent theories might have to suffice until they actually fight each other. Going into Saturday night’s bout at the MGM, Pacquiao seemed to have the edge, having decimated two fighters Mayweather had merely beaten in Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton.
But now they have a third opponent in common. Pacquiao fought Juan Manuel Marquez twice, earning a draw and a disputed split-decision win. But after seeing Marquez fight Mayweather just once, no one wants a rematch.
The judges had it 120-107, 119-108 and 118-109. I had Mayweather, 119-108, 11 rounds to one, but only because I bent over backwards to give Marquez the seventh.
The single surprise is that it went that long. Most people — Mayweather included — thought it would end in the second round, after he pounced on Marquez, leading with, of all things, a hook.
After Marquez went down, Mayweather tried to finish him, to become the first fighter to KO Marquez. “I couldn’t,” the unmarked Mayweather said at the press conference. “Couldn’t. Guy was too tough. … I don’t rate this as one of my best fights. I think I could’ve done better. I couldn’t have done a lot better.”
It was an uncharacteristically modest admission, as it came from a man who calls himself “Money.” But when I asked him what, exactly, he could’ve done better, he became elusive again. Short of a knockout — with 25 KOs he’s not Whitaker, though he prides himself more on efficiency than brute force — I don’t know what else he could’ve done. The single trace of ring rust was an inability or unwillingness to throw combinations. Then again, when you can lead with a hook, like that …
A lot of people thought I was going to get knocked out and I didn’t,” said Marquez, taking his victories where he could find them. “I hope I made Mexico proud. … I was willing to die in that ring.”
Such pride was appreciated by the pro-Marquez crowd of 13,116. They cheered him on. They oohed and aahed at flurries that might’ve looked impressive from a distance. Closer to the ring, you could see what Mayweather was doing: rolling and slipping, catching punches with his shoulders and elbows. Even with Mayweather hovering in front of his nose, or with his back to the ropes, Marquez could barely lay a glove on him.
And by the time he did connect, both fighters understood there was nothing the smaller man could do to hurt the bigger man. The eighth round ended with Mayweather on the ropes, telling Marquez to bring it on. In the ninth, he hit Marquez with an overhand right that would have felled another fighter. Yes, Marquez had a right to feel good about himself.
He took his beating well. He learned what he is, and what he is not, which is to say, not a welterweight.
Floyd Mayweather delivered a boxing lesson. Only Shane Mosley didn’t learn anything.
